Location: Remote

Commitment: Part-time Volunteer (Flexible hours)

Duration: 3 Months

Compensation: Volunteer role (Non-paid). A $25 gift card will be provided upon successful completion of the 3-month volunteer period.

We are currently building our official website to help us share our mission, showcase our projects, and engage our community. We are looking for passionate volunteers who want to make a real impact while strengthening their portfolio.

Role Overview

The Volunteer Web Developer will help design, build, and maintain the Creative Odyssey website. You will collaborate with our team to create a visually appealing, user-friendly, and functional website—primarily using WordPress.

This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring or early-career developers to gain experience, expand their skills, and contribute to meaningful community work.

Responsibilities

Assist in designing and developing the Creative Odyssey website using WordPress (or similar CMS).

Customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet project needs.

Ensure the website is mobile-responsive and user-friendly.

Troubleshoot technical issues and provide ongoing updates.

Collaborate with the Creative Odyssey team to implement content, design changes, and improvements.

Maintain website security, performance, and basic SEO best practices.

Participate in occasional virtual meetings.

Requirements

Basic to intermediate experience with WordPress.

Understanding of HTML, CSS, or basic web design principles (added advantage).

Familiarity with plugins, themes, and page builders (e.g., Elementor, Divi, Gutenberg).

Ability to work independently and meet agreed deadlines.

Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate.

Passion for creativity, community development, or non-profit work.
