Job Description

Job Title: Construction Traveling Superintendent
Location: Ohio

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Traveling Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage all aspects of the field operations on assigned construction projects. The superintendent will travel to different project sites in Ohio (mostly Columbus OH) and is responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the on-site point of contact for all construction activities.
• Coordinate daily activities and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Manage site logistics, material deliveries, inspections, and work schedules.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and company safety policies.
• Maintain project documentation, including daily logs, timekeeping, RFIs, and photos.
• Conduct daily/weekly project meetings with subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to resolve issues.
• Monitor construction progress and adjust schedules as necessary to meet deadlines.
• Enforce quality control processes to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.

Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial, retail, industrial, or multi-family construction (as applicable).
• Willingness and ability to travel for extended periods.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, drawings, schedules, and codes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in project management software (Procore, Buildertrend, Microsoft Project, etc.).
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to manage multiple projects or phases simultaneously

Preferred Experience:
• Preferred experience with the following types of projects: multi-family, K-12, commercial, healthcare, industrial, or affordable housing.
