Position Overview As the Director of Human Resources, you will independently oversee all HR functions for the hotel while partnering directly with executive leadership. This is a one‑person HR department requiring someone who is both strategic and operational. The successful candidate will own the entire hiring process, including: Writing and managing job postings Resume review Candidate sourcing Phone screenings First‑round interviews Candidate selection Offer coordination Background screening New hire onboarding Orientation The organization is seeking someone who can significantly improve recruiting quality while attracting top hospitality talent. Payroll & Administration Process payroll accurately and on time Maintain employee records Coordinate HR documentation Support executive leadership with administrative needs Assist with office operations Serve as liaison for various operational vendors and IT support Employee Relations & Compliance Advise leadership on employee relations matters Conduct investigations Handle sensitive employee conversations Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws Maintain HR policies and procedures Support performance improvement initiatives Qualifications Required 5+ years of Human Resources leadership experience Hospitality Human Resources experience strongly preferred Experience managing recruiting and talent acquisition Strong employee relations background Payroll administration experience Knowledge of employment law and HR compliance Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Preferred Luxury hotel or boutique hospitality experience SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification HRIS and payroll system experience Executive support experience Experience building positive workplace culture Why Join This Organization?
