International Blind Contractors LTD is seeking a results-driven and strategic Construction Business Developer to join our Sales & Client Relations team. This role is perfect for someone with a strong understanding of the NYC commercial construction landscape and a passion for relationship-building. As our Business Development lead, you'll play a key role in expanding our footprint, securing new projects, and fostering long-term partnerships. This position offers a hybrid schedule with flexibility to work in-office and remotely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the commercial construction industry, with a focus on NYC markets.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with general contractors, architects, project managers, and decision-makers.
  • Promote window treatment solutions to both new and existing clients, providing tailored recommendations and insights.
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, bid opportunities, and potential clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (estimating, project management, operations) to align client expectations with deliverables.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and follow-up communications.
  • Attend networking events, industry conferences, and client meetings to build brand awareness and trust.
  • Maintain a detailed CRM pipeline and provide regular sales activity reports to leadership.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably within the NYC commercial construction industry.
  • Background in window covering products or construction trades is highly desirable but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and drive long-term client engagement.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage time, prioritize leads, and operate independently.
  • Comfort with CRM platforms and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Hybrid flexibility; able to attend in-person meetings across NYC and surrounding areas as needed.
